- Describe the complications of acute myocardial infarction
- Evaluate and diagnose complications of myocardial infarction including arrhythmias, heart failure and mechanical complications :ventricular septal rupture (VSR), free wall rupture (FWR), and ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR).
- Understand the underlying mechanisms of mechanical complications after acute myocardial infarction (AMI)
- Discuss the distinctions between mechanical complications management
- Review basic pathophysiology and practical management principles for RV infarction
- Describe indications and techniques for invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of measure and derived hemodynamic data during complications of acute myocardial infarction
- Outline the value of echocardiography as a tool for diagnosis and evaluating prognosis of patients with complications after myocardial infarction
- Describe the use of antiarrhythmics and temporary pacemaker in emergency situations for severe arrhythmias secondary to acute myocardial infarction
