After studying this module on Basic clinical examination, you should be able to:

• Accomplish a primary patient survey to identify and correct abnormal physiology
• Perform a more detailed secondary survey with indicated laboratory tests to identify possible causes of abnormal physiology
• Integrate clinical and laboratory information to make a diagnosis and develop the appropriate treatment plan
• Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe care and avoid errors
