After studying this module on Clinical imaging, you should be able to:

  • Define the role of imaging in intensive care medicine and describe the assessment of routine, important critical care images – the chest and cervical spine X-rays.
  • Determine appropriate imaging for the patient with intrathoracic disease.
  • Determine appropriate imaging for the patient with circulatory dysfunction.
  • Determine appropriate imaging for the patient with spinal disease.
  • Determine appropriate imaging for the patient with abdominal disease.
